Nottingham City Council, Park Lives and The Renewal Trust provided funding for 10 skaters to qualify in the new Level 1 Award in Coaching Skateboard Sessions – alongside DBS and Child Safeguarding. This allows us to safely deliver skate sessions for all ages and abilities across Nottingham. The fist sessions with be part of Nottingham’s Park Lives Programme – a UK programme that aims to get more people outdoors and active – and will be absolutely free to anyone who’s keen to start skateboarding, or get back into it after a time away. These sessions will be every Sunday in July, from the 2nd to the 30th, at King Edward Park, Sneinton: See here for more info and how to register – and get in touch if you’re interested in training to be a skate coach in the future.
