Nottingham skateparks
With over thirty skateparks around Nottinghamshire (while some cities are lucky to have just one or two), Notts is leading the way as a skate-friendly UK city with such a broad range of complimentary skateparks. How many have you skated so far?
Nottingham urban area
Tram Line Spot, City Centre, NG1 7EZ
Not a skatepark, but our landmark ‘skate-friendly’, community-designed piece of public realm, at the foot of the Nottingham Contemporary Gallery & 2 minutes skate from Nottingham Train Station. Curved perimeter ledges and a small 2-set are complimented by 3 custom steel obstacles - a wallie block, ‘Pier 7’ manny pad, and hip. Mostly undercover and great for beginners & pros alike.
Lady Bay, West Bridgford NG2 5BG
A medium-sized concrete park not far out of the city centre, and the fourth iteration of a skatepark here in Lady Bay - it started life as a wooden mini-ramp nearly 25 years ago! A big street section includes a hip, long flatbar, ledges & manny pad, with an open bowl/mini ramp section at the back. Good to cycle to along the river Trent!
King Edward Park, NG3 2AR
A small, unique park close to Sneinton Market in the city centre - featuring a variety of obstacles around a circular concrete path. A curb, ledge, rail, bump-to-bar & 'Pier 7' ledge ensure there’s something for everyone. Nice spot for a sunny day, and a good challenge is to film your best 'King Eddie's lap’ clip!
Standhill, Carlton NG4 1JS
A small but well-loved local skatepark with concrete and metal elements. Quarters, banks, ledges, a spine, a flat bar, a hip and a vert wall, all with plenty of open space between them. Good for a summer skate comp!
Joshua Dale Skatepark, Colwick, NG4 2ES
After the well-loved wooden skatepark was sadly removed, due to its dilapidated condition, Skate Nottingham worked with Gedling Borough Council to reactivate the dead space left behind. Now featuring several concrete curbs, we continue to work towards funding a bigger, permanent skatepark here.
Jubilee Park, Gedling, NG4 2QG
An often overlooked concrete skatepark on the outskirts of Gedling, with an open bowl section alongside small quarters, 2 hubbas, a rail and hips.
Arnold Bowls, Arnold, NG5 4HZ
A veteran skatepark of Nottingham at 20+ years old, Arnold features a double bowl and lots of flat ground in the street section. Situated at the top end of Arnot Hill Park.
King George V Recreation Ground, Arnold, NG5 6NF
TBC.
Valley Road, Bestwood, NG5 3BG
Something completely different (for good or for bad), the Valley Road skatepark features a lot of transition in a small area, with a bowl, a taco, and a small rainbow rail.
Southglade, Bestwood, NG5 5GU
A medium-sized and long-standing skatepark up on a hill in Bestwood - the concrete may show its age, but there’s plenty to enjoy about Southglade. A spine, hip, big quarters and a small bowl, with loads of open space. Nice views when the sun is setting!
Maples Street, Hyson Green, NG7 6AD
One of Nottingham’s oldest standing parks, ‘Mapes’ is an early 2000s gem that features a perfect mini ramp and an unusually-proportioned street section. A huge vert wall takes centre stage at one end, and the entire park is made colourful by the local graffiti talent all year round. Bring a brush in Autumn. Keep your wits about you and stay safe if skating here at night.
Aspley skatepark, Broxtowe Country Park, NG8 6HR
TBC.
Beeston Fields Recreation Ground, NG9 2QT
The Beeston DIY micro skatepark was built by local volunteers alongside Betongpark Ltd in 2021, as a means to rejuvenate a small patch of unused space, and provide skateable obstacles for locals of the area. A super smooth 4ft concrete quarter sits with a low ledge on relatively smooth tarmac. The surface has a slight uphill incline.
West Park, Long Eaton, NG10 4LR
A medium sized concrete park with a wide variety of elements - a mini ramp, long ledges, long flat bar, step up gap, taco, a large rail and a baby rail - often one for people’s first rail tricks. Lots of flat tarmac around the perimeter of the park. Quite far out of the city compared to a lot of the parks on this list.
Clifton skatepark, Clifton, NG11 8QG
The biggest skatepark in Notts, Clifton has two linked street sections alongside a deep bowl section. With everything from hubbas, a rail, a brick effect hip, and varying sizes of transition elements, including an open section that acts as a mini-ramp, there’s lots to enjoy here for beginners and experienced alike.
Rushcliffe Country Park, Ruddington, NG11 6JH
A solid, recent addition to Notts, this park was co-designed with a diverse group of skaters to be accessible and inclusive. Mostly street-oriented, unique features such as the dish-shaped manny pad and the long, mellow quarter give this park something different. Can be busy with kids & families at peak times such as weekends.
Titchfield skatepark, Hucknall, NG15 7LS
TBC.
Jackie Bell’s Field, Netherfield, NG4 2HQ
A small, modular concrete skatepark featuring a quarter pipe, steep flatbank, funbox, round flatbar and 3 ledges. A throwback to the 2000s!
Lambley Lane Park, Gedling, NG4 4PA
A basic metal facility with a mini ramp, quarter pipe, small funbox, wedge, & weird flatbar.
Peggy’s Park/Edward’s Lane Park, Sherwood, NG5 6DW
As basic as they come. 2 metal quarters, a metal bench, & metal kicker. Rough tarmac ground.
Inham Nook, Chilwell, NG9 4GQ
A wooden skatepark with large quarters, spine, flatbanks and roll in.
Flo Skatepark, NG2 4BN
The only indoor skatepark in central Nottingham, Flo has played host to many events over the years. Check their website for entry fees and session times.

Radcliffe-on-Trent, NG12 2AN
TBC.
Keyworth, NG12 5GE
The classic south Notts skatepark in Keyworth got a new lease of life in 2022 thanks to local campaigning for an upgrade & extension, which added a new mini ramp, and street section along one side. Lots of existing transition and a well-loved hip are now joined by a rail, curb, and additional flatbanks and ledge. Great for locals and worth a trip out from the rest of Notts.
Tollerton skatepark, NG12 4EH
A basic, modular, wooden & metal park in a quiet village field. Couple of quarters, funboxes and flatbars. Rough tarmac ground, but a fun, low-impact session can be had.
Bottesford skatepark, NG13 0EE
